Who processes your data

The data controller is Diljana Zaharieva, court-appointed translator and interpreter, trading under the name Dilingua. For any privacy matters, contact us at adiljana@gmail.com.

What data we process

We process the contact details you give us yourself – by e-mail, by phone, through the contact form on this website (name, e-mail, optionally phone, the message text and any files you attach to it) or when booking a meeting (name, e-mail and the slot you choose). We also process the content of our correspondence, the data contained in documents you hand over for translation or interpreting, and aggregate traffic statistics for this website.

Why, and on what legal basis

Data from the form, from meeting bookings, from our correspondence and from submitted documents is processed in order to handle your enquiry and deliver the service you ordered (performance of a contract and steps taken before entering into it, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and to meet the duties of a court interpreter under Czech Act No. 354/2019 Coll. (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). Website traffic statistics are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and improving the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Cookies and analytics

This website itself uses no cookies or other browser storage for analytics or marketing – which is why you will not see a cookie banner here. Traffic is measured with Vercel Web Analytics, which works without cookies: it creates no persistent identifiers, does not store your IP address, and cannot track you across websites. We only see aggregate figures such as page views, country or device type. The Cal.com booking calendar loads only after you click to open it; until then no connection to Cal.com is made. Once loaded it is a third-party service that may store its own data in your browser under its own policy.

Who we share data with

The site runs on infrastructure provided by Vercel Inc., which acts as our processor for hosting and traffic measurement. Messages from the contact form are delivered by Resend and meeting bookings are handled by Cal.com, Inc. – both likewise as processors. Our e-mail correspondence is handled by our mailbox provider. Any transfer outside the EU is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses. Source documents and finished translations are released only to the client, or to authorities legally entitled to them. Files you attach to a message are uploaded to Vercel Blob storage, run by the same provider.

How long we keep data

Correspondence and job materials are kept for the duration of our cooperation and then for as long as needed to defend legal claims, at most 4 years. For certified translations and interpreting we keep the records required by Act No. 354/2019 Coll. for the period that act prescribes. Aggregate traffic statistics are anonymous and cannot be linked to you. Files attached to an enquiry are deleted from storage automatically after 90 days. The storage is not public — a file can only be opened through a signed link that goes to us alone and stops working after 90 days.

Confidentiality

As court interpreters we are bound by statutory confidentiality regarding everything we learn in the course of our work. This duty continues after our cooperation ends.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict processing, to data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Just write to adiljana@gmail.com. If you believe we handle your data improperly, you may contact the Czech Data Protection Authority (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), Pplk.
